Cruiser Class Racing at Grays Harbor Raceway

Take a stock sedan passenger car, move the accelerator over to be controlled by the passenger and you have a recipe for a bunch of fun at Grays Harbor Raceway oval dirt track in front of a stadium holding thousands of excited race fans.

As Lewis County area DHL driver Dana Austin arrived to make his daily pickups at Mail Plus Chehalis he began talking about Cruiser class of racing at Grays Harbor Raceway.

He explained about the requirement for having a passenger controlled accelerator, and the ability for anybody to contact the Tracks Technical Inspector prior to the beginning of the main race and put a claim on any cruiser car for only a thousand dollars. He finally said, "I'm tired of watching from the sidelines, I gotta get us a car"

He recruited Dan Reynolds to be his Gas-man and together they started gutting and stripping out his 85 Chevy Celebrity.

Team Wa-NARSC entered the final race with 688 points, 10th place out of 20. A very nice first year effort. Take a peek at the photo album and see how excited the fans were on fan appreciation night. Many NARSC members are licensed Neighborhood Postal Centers. This auto team will continue to be an important avenue for name branding and public awareness for NARSC and Your Expert Shipping Stores.
